I really wanted this to work, I switched from a 2012 MacBook with Magsafe to a 2020 MacBook with USB-C. I didn't want to lose magsafe as it has saved my laptop multiple times. Here's what I wasn't expecting, the wires on newer laptops are thicker. Now you might think, but never mind, right? Well, thicker cable means more power. More power, the magnets separate very easily. I wish the magnets were a bit stronger to compensate for this, definitely not worth the money they charge. If the cable bends even a little or you move it on your lap, it will turn itself off. Not what I expected from an expensive option. Its cost can be $5-10 and that's it. Shame, I really wish it worked like the old Magsafe chargers. EDIT***** Aug 25th. So the seller contacted me and although he offered a refund and apologized for the poor performance I asked him if he minded. Send me another block instead. Because I really want it to work (I love my Magsafe). So he did and I think it was just a bad magnet because this one works so much better! In fact, it's even stronger than my original Magsafe! Highly recommended!
