I really wanted this to work, I switched from a 2012 Macbook with Magsafe to a 2020 USB-C. I didn't want to lose magsafe as it has saved my laptop multiple times. Here's what I wasn't expecting, the wires on newer laptops are thicker. Now you might think, but never mind, right? Well, thicker cable means more power. More power, the magnets separate very easily. I wish the magnets were a bit stronger to compensate for this, definitely not worth the money they charge. If the cable bends even aโ€ฆ

massive failure - could have damaged my MacBook

First of all, the manufacturer includes a note that if you leave a 5-star rating, you will receive a $15 discount on your second device. This probably explains the high ratings in the reviews. I used this (luckily) on a laptop provided by my company - MBP 16". After a couple of weeks the USB port I was using stopped working - won't charge, there won't be a reader, etc. Considering it was a used laptop, not sure if it was existing damage or caused by the adapter, what was left in the machine was
