These little guys work just as well as brand names but for a lot less money. I only use them with metal so I don't care if they work with other materials. They hold steel very well. With aluminum, in my experience at least, molten aluminum tends to stick to the bits and form a shiny streak. These don't seem to do that. However, time will tell. If someone sells me a bad product, rest assured that I'll throw it on the internet as often as possible, so you can count on me to update this review if it doesn't perform so well over time. So far the only complaint is that some adhesive is sticking out from the bottom. It won't hurt performance, but it's a cosmetic item you can be sure the big brands don't have. One of the photos shows a drop of glue.
