Review on Denon DCD-800NE Single-Disk CD Player with USB Port, Enhanced Processing, Plays All Popular File Formats, Anti-Vibration Audio Reproduction, Black by Pop Henneghan

Purchased 25th May 2019. I only unpacked the CD player after the warranty expired. After setting up the device; The Denon DCD-800NE CD player sounded great, but I found that if I don't clean every CD before playing it, quite often I have to take the CD out and clean it because it won't play. I found the player to be very sensitive to smudges. The CD player ended up not playing, so I contacted Denon and told them my unit needed repairs. I found an authorized electronics repair shop an hour from home and brought it in for repairs. I waited almost 3 months until I got a call from the workshop. Eventually I brought the CD player home and set it up and it sounded great. It is now 07/28/2021 and I have noticed that the CD player is not playing again. When I opened the CD tray, I noticed that it opened very slowly, so I used a hair dryer and blew warm air into the tray's opening while the tray was in the open position. I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence, but after that the player was able to play any CD I put in the unit. I cannot recommend this Denon CD player.
