The RCA headphone output shines with 32-bit processing.

I prefer single disc players. They're better built. My first USB player. It was a used purchase from Amazon warehouse. No complaints here. Updates via USB and remote. (I play a lot of CDs on this player and it sounds great. Haven't tried the USB or the remote since January 4th. Rating #2). (I've tried a USB stick and a remote control, everything works fine. Worth every dollar spent!

This CD player is worth every euro you spend. This Denon player has breathed new life into my CDs, I'm hearing things in the background that I've never heard before. It also plays scratched CDs, which my old Sony player wouldn't do unless they were too deep. So far all I can say is that the remote control isn't designed for this player, it's universal and has a lot of unused buttons, so it's bigger than it should be. I use it as a standalone DAC/amp unit with audiophile headphones and the sound

Not worth the money $$$

Purchased 25th May 2019. I only unpacked the CD player after the warranty expired. After setting up the device; The Denon DCD-800NE CD player sounded great, but I found that if I don't clean every CD before playing it, quite often I have to take the CD out and clean it because it won't play. I found the player to be very sensitive to smudges. The CD player ended up not playing, so I contacted Denon and told them my unit needed repairs.
