If you use FIOS and want to add an extra remote control to the same TV, buy this one. Newer FIOS devices use Wi/Fi for volume control and Wi/Fi only works with one device at a time. Adding a second device (remote) to Wi/Fi simply disables the first one. This works with infrared signals, so it works with all FIOS receivers. It works with newer FIOS receivers, although it doesn't obey voice commands. Since my wife is a control freak, she likes to use the remote control. I had to buy this so I could turn off some of that crap she was watching from my side of the room.
