If you use FIOS and want to add an extra remote control to the same TV, buy this one. Newer FIOS devices use Wi/Fi for volume control and Wi/Fi only works with one device at a time. Adding a second device (remote) to Wi/Fi simply disables the first one. This works with infrared signals, so it works with all FIOS receivers. Remote control works well. Worked out of the box with my FiOS box and literally took a minute to set up the TV. My problem is that the remote control is not the same as in the photo. The advertised remote says Verizon at the bottom, FiOS TV at the top, and the button between the channel and volume buttons is the FiOS TV button. However, the remote I received says "Frontier" at the bottom and the FiOS TV button says "Live TV" instead. The instructions for this remote are for the Frontier set top
