. They have the same base but the wiring is built into the base. You screw the base to the ceiling, attach the wires, and the light itself just lights up and rotates and has metal sensors for where the metal parts of the base are when it's fully rotated. It's NOT, so it's not that easy to install. This is a standard installation, installing the base, connecting the wires to the fixture itself, and then installing the fixture. This is a really big boy so it's impractical to attach wires while holding him up the stairs. However, I got the hang of it and it wasn't as hard as another reviewer made it out to be. Although it works well, I expected more brightness for this size. I also wish the colors and the white LED could be mixed. One or the other. And the colored LEDs at the top, outside the field of view, ensure that the colors only appear indirectly. I prefer the ones I have where normal light also changes color. But it's enough for what I wanted in the guest room. Pairing with Smart Life was easy and Alexa was able to get it up and running in no time.
