First off, this is a flexible chain net which means it will need maintenance throughout its life. The only way to avoid maintenance is if every single chain link in the net is spot welded - then the chain net sells for $80-$100, nobody buys that. Instead, the chain links attach to each other and over time one or two will open, just use pliers and snap them back together. If you don't want to deal with the maintenance of the mesh from time to time, you can take it to a welding shop and be billed for spot welding each link, or buy regular nylon mesh. Other than that the chain is fun, great sound, great looks and fun to play with. It also has this special vibe, every wicker basket in my area has nylon nets, our chain net just looks and feels different.
