The board works well as an ESP-12 board (like NodeMCU), but I haven't had much luck using it with Arduino boards (like Adafruit's Motor Shield) or SPI devices (using the Arduino). to run /ESP8266 library port) ). However, I managed to get a simple I2C device to work with it. I'm sure I could get other devices to work on it if I program an ESP8266 at a lower level, but that defeats the purpose of "Arduino compatibility". If I wanted to, I could use better and smaller boards. Well, the $8 risk was worth it.
