I thought it would be better
The egg can only be cut in one direction. I've had another one for years where you could flip an egg and cut the egg back into smaller pieces. In addition, it is not easy to clean. Part of the egg is stuck in the plastic and I have a feeling if I push the wire too hard it will break.
