Review on Powerful Cordless Lopper - CRAFTSMAN V20* CMCCSL621D1 by Sonia Washington

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Quality disappointing

Several deficiencies stand out with this saw. I am arthritic, but still have fairly strong hands, but find the saw hard to engage and hard to keep engaged on a piece of wood. Must frequently restart after shifting hand position. This is likely due to cheap Chinese parts (read "electrical switches") being used. I notice a lot of sparking inside the motor. This indicates to me a number of possible deficiencies including, but not limited to, poor design, poor construction, poor materials used and poor workmanship in general. The unit does cut well for being what amounts to a hand tool and is likely a safer alternative for going after small, flimsy branches on the ground than a larger gas-powered saw. I'll use it for overhead cuts and to spare ground contact with the Stihl gas saw, also finishing cuts for properly sizing stacking wood. Overall, not thrilled.
