Great product well thought out

It's fairly common for Revain items to be dented or otherwise damaged so I was a bit nervous when ordering this. I took the risk and ordered two – one for baking spices, one for aromatic herbs. They came in the original manufacturer's sturdy boxes, and the bottles were packaged in a custom-made piece of soft Styrofoam from which the cans were easily removed. Seriously, the best packaging I've ever seen. I will use it again when I donate the jars/spice rack I used before. Pre-printed labels offer an incredible number of options. I particularly appreciated the two ground whole spice denominations. Only one item in my spice collection didn't have a label: dried ginger root, which nobody should use anyway unless they're desperate. The labels have a black background with large white letters - easy to read if your spices are stored in a poorly lit room. The black background is more important than you might think. My last set had clear labels with black printing so you couldn't stick another label on top of the old one if you changed your mind. As mentioned in other reviews, remember to stick the label on while the lids are on the jars so you know you're about to put them on. The lids are made of good, durable metal. The stand tilts at the right angle: you can easily remove the cans, but they're unlikely to slip out if you hit them. Lots of extra blank labels and a marker if you need to create your own. And it looks good as you can see from the product photos, although I keep mine in the cupboard so the light doesn't ruin the spices. One of the racks I received has a rough solder joint on the front, but that's the only thing I don't find perfect. When I buy a product I often think it must have been designed by someone who has never used it, but that is definitely not the case here. Everything about it is so well thought out. Love it.
