The start voltage drop test function works well and is ideal for checking the condition of the battery and can also test the battery cables if connected to the starter and engine block. It can also determine the condition of the alternator charging system. Using this tester is a great way to tell when your battery is getting low. You can replace the battery BEFORE it fails and deserts you.
