Do not buy if you want your money back

Got it. That does not work. Returns and refunds for items valued at $230 will not be issued. People talk to you, but no money

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Very expensive

Does everything well but the price is too high

I got this charger because I work with cars and I knew I would need it. I've had the cheaper $60 version and I think it does everything this $215 model does except tell you max voltage for the alternator and low voltage for the starter. If I had to do it again, I would choose a cheaper model. I gave it four stars because it does what it promises. pruittjr1

A real piece of junk

I bought this in August 2019. I used it to service the batteries on the mountain where we have an internet broadcast tower. It had to be used 3 times in a system containing 7 deep cycle D29 batteries. The measuring device is defective and only CONN is shown on the display. I called support and they told me I need to send and change it at a cost of 109. The company didn't even tell me how to open it so I could replace the failed component myself. This is a known issue with this counter. True…

Works well, made in USA

The commercial version of this device is used by the telecom industry to test large batteries in central offices. This PBT300 is great for testing car batteries. It seems very accurate. The start voltage drop test function works well and is ideal for checking the condition of the battery and can also test the battery cables if connected to the starter and engine block. It can also determine the condition of the alternator charging system. Using this tester is a great way to tell when your…

Midtronic is the best.

This model is simple and makes it easy to get accurate results. The concepts are easy to understand without getting too many interpretations. Convenient to go or not to go. It is important to make strong connections. Battery measurement can be significantly affected if connections are not made correctly. For example, a screw screwed loosely into the battery of the side carrier indicated that the battery was defective. Adding a nut and tightening gave a good result. It's so delicate! It gives…
