Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Improved Replacement Kit: GE JXA019K, WX4-A019 Undercabinet Microwave Mounting Solution by Allan Duman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Ideal for select GE microwave ovens

Unsurpassed quality at a third of the cost of a GE OEM kit. It doesn't come with a jig that comes with the OEM kit, but I installed it with very careful measurements and drilling without using a jig. I have previously installed three OEM kits so I was familiar with the app but prior knowledge is not required if practical and accurate. The attached photo shows one of my existing brackets installed (right, with screws). On the left is a non-OEM bracket that is the subject of this review. As you can see, all four holes in my perennial OEM version have counterparts in the non-OEM version. I don't know what the 5th hole in the non-OEM mount is for, but maybe there is a 5th hole in the current OEM version as well. In any case, I installed my advantageous brackets for use with the GE JES3072 compact microwave. The correct holes for this particular device correspond to the two inner holes of the OEM bracket. Larger GE undercounter microwave ovens (JEM31 series) use the two outer holes. Bottom line, mission accomplished at a bargain price. Installation tip: The microwave oven is hung with four screws, front left, rear left, front right, rear right. After accurately marking the first hole to be drilled in the cabinet, use the bracket as a template to locate the second hole on the same side. Then accurately measure the distance between the left and right holes and use a shackle to mark the location of the holes on the remaining side.
