Good quality hose but NONE of the fittings worked

I just bought this product to extend the hose on my 2.5 gallon shop vacuum and attach it to a circular saw. It has a 1 1/4" hose that connected well to my saw but wasn't long enough. None of the fittings that came with this product connect securely to the vacuum or saw. I will most likely keep this product , because the hose itself can be used with some custom nozzles I could build with parts from a hardware store, but the fittings have to be thrown away, not worth the money.

Pros
