On default settings, it has a very bright backlight, which many have complained about in other reviews. However, you can set this up in their menu. There's even a custom setting that gives you full control over the backlight and other features. I found that all other functions are valid. Good monitor, especially for the price. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it had some weird issues where it would turn off for a second and then turn on again. I've had this monitor for a long time and have only seen it twice. It's possible it's software related, but it hasn't been a problem since then, so I don't have enough information to be sure.
