Review on Enhance Your DEWALT Miter Saw Experience with DWE575DC Dust Collection Adapter! by Mike Davan

DWE575DC fits DCS570 (and possibly others)

Okay I haven't tested the dust collecting ability yet, but anything vacuum related should be useful. The main reason I am writing is to show how this can be modified if you are a DIYer to fit other Dewalt saws. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY but I thought it useful to show the dust extraction for the DCS570 circular saw with the DWE575DC adapter. It has the same shape as the DWE575 circular saw for which it was developed. Dewalt claims that the DWE575DC is not suitable for the DCS570. The PROBLEM isn't the molded plastic, it's the bottom screw that won't go in thanks to the battery holder. The battery holder prevents the screwdriver from inserting the screw. HOWEVER, the bottom right tab on the molding (which fits into the bottom hole of the saw blade guard) can be drilled out with a 9/64 drill bit and a #8 drill bit. A -32 screw can be used to attach this floor to the saw . I also used LocTite threadlock to keep the nut from loosening. ADDITIONAL - DO NOT use Loctite, I thought about it, it got very tight, almost couldn't remove the screw. Use a bolt/nut without Loctite, or better yet use plastic wire wrap, I took my bolt/nut off and put wire wrap on top. Walk the path to make the DCS570 dust-collecting. FOR DEWALT - If you modify the lower screw molding with a slight extension, this dust box will come standard on many of your other saws. There is something to consider, because collecting dust with a circular saw is a great advantage.
