Saves secondary filter
Our well pump seems to pump sand and fine mud. Our secondary string filters jammed and popped, a real mess. I put one of these in front of a thread filter and it caught 95% of what would get into our system. The only problem is that cleaning is required about every 3 months or the water consumption is reduced. I bring the hose from this device to the drain, which you can use to drain the sludge removed from the grid. Cleaning takes about 2 minutes and requires no specialist knowledge.
