The Samsung UE570 is an affordable monitor with excellent color reproduction and detailed images for work tasks with fast response times for gaming. Image quality is top notch and colors are vibrant after calibration. The 1ms response time makes the game lag-free. The monitor supports AMD FreeSync technology, which is a bonus. It has a picture-in-picture mode that lets you view side-by-side, allowing two sources to be viewed at the same time. The detailed 4k image of the monitor makes work tasks a pleasure because you see all the details. 4k resolution works well on a 28 inch display. Zoom in Windows 10 is only 150% and text is readable from 3 feet away. Despite all these advantages, there are also disadvantages. First, the stand has no height adjustment, meaning you have to lift the monitor up by hand, maybe two stacks of paper. However, the monitor has tilt adjustment so you can get the right viewing angle. Secondly, HDR capabilities would be a great addition and improve black levels on the monitor. Third, Samsung needs to update the packaging and stickers on the monitor. The 2016 New Feature sticker should be removed as this is the latest version of the monitor. So for the price, the Samsung UE570 has a lot of pluses, but you can overlook the minuses. The monitor is a great addition to my workflow.
