When the Carbon Monoxide (CO) level is below 29ppm, this monitor will falsely tell you that the CO level is *Zero*. This is by design - it won't show a number above zero until the CO level exceeds 30ppm, which is pretty late. I bought this product because I wanted to monitor CO levels in real time. For example, when using a fireplace, I wanted to know if carbon monoxide was leaking into the room from the start. If you're trying to monitor real-time CO, this isn't the product for you (I'm now using the Sensorcon monitor instead). If you don't want to control CO, there's no reason to pay extra for an LCD screen.
