I have 125 gallons and set it to 82 83 degrees at first and it heated my tank up to about 81 But after one After a few weeks I noticed it wouldn't stay at 80 so I bumped it up to 86 and then after another week or so bumped the temp back up to 80. 77 so maybe it works better for a smaller tank, like 100 to 75 Gallons, but I don't recommend it if your fish needs to be kept above 80 degrees in a large tank. TO UPDATE. stopped working received december 1st now february 20th
