I travel a lot for work and like to take my camera with me. I bought this mainly for travel and that purpose and that's the only reason I would suggest this. The supplied adhesive pads are great, but obviously not practical for rental cars. The grip isn't very good and sometimes I jump in the car to see it fall. Crashed several times while driving. Because of this, I usually wrap the power cord around the rearview mirror. That way he'll at least hang out when he's pooping. In the end, there's really no alternative, so we're kind of sticking with it. Everything is OK. But there is a lot of room for improvement
