I only ordered this one because it reminded me of my JBL Link 20 speakers. I needed a vertical speaker for my office at work as I used to have a large bluetooth Speakers were a guitar amp that was taking up too much desk space. The vertical form factor works well for my use case as it still gives me decent sized speakers without taking up as much desk space. As soon as I received it, I was overwhelmed by how close it was to my JBL in terms of design and appearance, except for the size. This Monster branded speaker is like a younger little brother. The speaker is covered with an attractive mesh throughout the vertical part, and the control buttons are on top, just like my JBL. It can be charged via the port on the back, which is covered by a thick rubber flap when not in use. The speaker sounds great for its price. It's not quite the same as some of the others I have, but they're a bit cheaper than I really appreciate, nonetheless, to my ears, it sounds like a flatter sound profile compared to some of the other brands available. The trend now seems to be to overemphasize the bass, which can make the music very confusing. The controls are easy to navigate with large buttons on top of the speaker, and I had no trouble streaming songs or taking calls. I have not heard any complaints about the quality of phone calls and to be honest I deal with many complainers throughout the day. For the price, it's hard to beat.
