I have several different headsets. One is at home and is intended for online games. I needed an extra one for work. and the Discover D312U is a fantastic headset for business calls. I use Zoom and other apps that require a headset to take calls at work. This is a fantastic headset for that. I noticed that the calls were clean. I could hear everyone very well. Stereo sound from the headset has priority over speech. but listening to music sounds very good. This weekend I decided to use the Discover D312U as my gaming headset. and compare it to my other $100 Logitech gaming headset. A $100 gaming headset had better audio clarity when hearing "footsteps" from the left or right. But I found the Discover D312U to sound better when listening to people talking. Indeed when I used the Discover D312u headset. People online said my voice was clearer than in a gaming headset. I have concluded that the audio portion is tuned for better vocal clarity compared to the music. And surprisingly, the mic is better than my $100 Logitech gaming headset. This is probably due to their noise-cancelling microphone. I also really liked the ability to unplug the headset from the USB/line call controls. and just use it like a 3.5mm jack that plugs into my phone. It was a bonus I didn't expect. and calls from my phone were crystal clear when using the headset with it. Bottom line: I would recommend this to anyone using Zoom or any other application on your PC that requires the use of a headset. Its sound is almost as good as a gaming headset that costs twice as much. and his mic was surprisingly better. Note. This headset is not designed as a gaming headset. but it works surprisingly well as one. It really shines at Zoom calling and voice applications. And it offers the best return I've ever seen. I give it 5 stars out of 5.
