I received my original Zippo during basic training just before I went to war. This lighter is on my war memorial plaque. This lighter is one of several replacements. Note that the TSA will not let your Zippo through the security system. So replace what you picked up with this beauty. This simple design hasn't changed in decades. My lighter ignites in cold, damp, wind, heat, sunlight or darkness. It has seldom happened to me that I do not light the fire unless the flint is broken. Then it's just a matter of a minute to open up a spare flint holder to swap out. I reflexively fill my lighter on Saturdays and carry a small canister of lighter fluid in the car. This is a lifetime classic.
