Review on Modway Ernie Dining Chair Natural Furniture by Iration Ahim

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good luck to all Ernie buyers.

After reading other reviews, here is my opinion. Won my first chair as a prize out front but details were missing. Revan didn't help. I didn't want to return the chair, I just wanted the details. So I went online, found Modway (138 Georges Rd, Dayton, NJ 08810 609-256-9000) and called them. Customer service wouldn't help unless I ordered direct from them - ugh - and suggested I stop by my local ROFLOL hardware store. I didn't want to go to the hardware store to buy the part I need to stabilize my legs! So I rushed to find the owner. I found COO Moshe Melamed (moshe@modwayfurniture.com) and contacted him directly and explained that his support woman was not helpful. I finally got somewhere. He referred me back to support for the details I needed and now I had an authoritative name that she could recognize. It took some time but I got the right parts. Now for the second chair. Came without instructions. Having built the first one, I had some experience with this build. A NOTICE! Look for the embossed arrow on the stabilizing center piece that says "front". Once installed on the legs, align them to attach the legs to the chair body. Some of you said the holes don't match. The base is not made straight. The front/back leg ends are slightly offset. As with manufacturing, details change from time to time. So soft plugs, which are inserted into metal legs so that the legs do not scratch the floor, have a different color. It is, BUT I very much doubt my guests will inspect my chairs that closely. Good luck to all Ernie side chair buyers. Hope that helps.
