Seems to work fine with my Sharper Image bulb. It wasn't easy replacing this clumsy man. I couldn't just take it out and replace it or just rotate it. Here's how I did it: Unscrew the cap. There are two smaller screws inside that also need to be unscrewed. Now pull out the assembly. To remove the bulb I used a flathead screwdriver and gently pushed the wedge into the side of the bulb socket. Once you pull out one side, you can pull out the other. Now insert the new bulb and snap the assembly together. There will be a click. At this point you can roll back everything.
