I put this bulb in my lamp on a gooseneck. Sharper picture "Daylight" 2 days ago. It seemed to be working fine, but tonight after running for only 5 minutes it suddenly went dark. I thought he burned out. After I shook the loose bulb slightly, it lit up again. Then off again. Then again. The lamp is installed correctly and must be seated correctly to function. Does anyone know of a genuine lamp replacement for this Sharper Image lamp?

We have several Sharper Image Daylight Lamps (SI448) at home. After more than 15 years of use, the light bulbs go out. I ordered this lamp to replace the one that came with it. (Sharper Image lamp was SI928). This lamp is perfect. The light quality is good. It was easy to install. (Took less than 20 seconds.) The best part is that this lamp is dimmable. I am so glad that I found this lamp and immediately ordered 3 more.

Seems to work fine with my Sharper Image bulb. It wasn't easy replacing this clumsy man. I couldn't just take it out and replace it or just rotate it. Here's how I did it: Unscrew the cap. There are two smaller screws inside that also need to be unscrewed. Now pull out the assembly.
