I got this vise after a bad experience with a KURT style Chinese imitation that cracked on the back of the casting. So I figured if I get this one I won't be careful when testing to make sure it does what the vise does. Stop StuffBoy, is he doing that, I pushed him hard enough to crash into 1 inch of 1045 steel and he didn't care. The screw would not tighten and loosened fairly easily to release the monster grip. My biggest concern is that my router has smaller t-slots and only bridgeport-style t-slot hardware and I need a little less. , works well and for that I want them to be a full size bracket with 3 holes to attach it firmly to the table (I will only assemble one). What I really like is that the cast is smooth and sanded all around so it would be VERY difficult for them to hide details like cast cavities with auto putty. The way the sponge glides on it feels a little soft, but the sponges are incredibly solid. Overall this is a good product and if you want a vise that is acceptably accurate yet incredibly strong this thing won't treat you wrong
