I like being able to watch old VHS tapes, and my new LG OLED TV is built for HDMI, which of course is not an output option for a VHS tape player. With this converter I was able to convert the component output of the VHS player to HDMI and plug it into my AV receiver. The VHS picture looks fine on the 4K TV, even though it is much lower resolution, and the sound is great through the HDMI Audio Return Channel.
