I am comparing this product to VIOTEK GN32DB as I have had both and they are direct competitors. I find this product to be better for most people as it makes text sharper, has more accurate colors and ultimately is a more versatile product. That being said, I personally found the VIOTEK monitor more fun to use because it has a saturation adjustment that allows you to bring color to your face, while this LG monitor doesn't. Build quality is excellent, as I've found with most LG monitors. I bought. The cables are routed correctly and can be connected without any problems. The stand reaches far over the table, but doesn't wobble. The stand is also very versatile, with swivel, tilt, height, etc. Great build. Some people won't like that the power supply is external - I don't mind. The picture quality is excellent. Colors are excellent, although some tweaking may be needed. This monitor offers two "smooth gaming" options: Freesync, which sacrifices GTG's response time, and 1ms motion, which reduces color quality in exchange for a significant reduction in ghosting and overall feels like a low-latency TN panel feels. I like having these two options because you can toggle between them - I would use 1ms for CS:GO and Freesync for something like The Witcher 3. These two options cannot be activated at the same time, but given the types of games that they are used. I just love having these options. According to Hardware Unboxed, this monitor is the *only* 32-inch VA panel it's tested that can support a 144Hz refresh rate in terms of response time - measured at 6.5. ms (compared to most other 8.5ms) - I personally couldn't tell what the difference was between this and VIOTEK, but it can still gain a foothold to be the fastest. Colors are good, contrast was very good, and text was reasonably clear. Note that you're essentially buying a TV - it's quite large, but works well as a monitor, especially for gaming. However, if you plan on sitting next to it, I'd definitely recommend going for a 27-inch 1440p panel instead, as text clarity suffers. This worked fine for me given the distance I was sitting, but may not work for a large number of desktop setups. Overall, this is a monitor I would recommend to anyone looking for a larger form factor gaming monitor on a budget. It's practically flawless - the only thing I have for it is personal preferences and absolutely crazy preferences for everyone. LG has done a great job here and I appreciate how they are bringing their fantastic technology to the budget gaming space.
