LG 32GK650F B Monitor: FreeSync, 2560X1440P Resolution, Pivot & Swivel Adjustment, High Dynamic Range, 32GK650F-B.AUS Review

I used to use a 2014 Samsung 4k 28 inch TN panel that I paid $320 for 2 years ago. The color is not as good as most VA panels, but compared to this VA panel, the color on my old TN panel is almost as good. My biggest criticism of this LG monitor is that it is NOT very bright AT ALL. It's actually twice as bright compared to my TN panel. Even at 100% brightness, the monitor only takes up 50% of my TN panel. It's too dark for some games or even normal desktop use. I'm sitting 2ft from the monitor

Bought the display on Prime Day at a great price. For something he loved, but for something he couldn't take. At least one of the issues was related to the type of panel used in the monitor and could not be resolved with a replacement unit, so I ended up sending it back. A part of me still regrets the return but I know if I couldn't get a panel that didn't have any of my 3 issues it would drive me crazy and I wouldn't be happy with my purchase. I am comparing this product to VIOTEK GN32DB as I have had both and they are direct competitors. I find this product to be better for most people as it makes text sharper, has more accurate colors and ultimately is a more versatile product. As described, no dead pixels, plenty of terrain to run multiple programs when not playing. It should be noted that the weight is listed as 18.3 pounds. However when my carrier said it was 30lbs I figured they were trying to trick me into weighing, how do you know, 30lbs.

I don't know if the speakers only work with HDMI, but they haven't worked since day one. I've tried all the settings I could find but to no avail. If it doesn't work with the Displayport, they should mention it as it's not worth losing the resolution and upgrading over HDMI. I don't think I'm getting the refresh rate I was hoping for, but otherwise a good monitor.
