Overall 4 stars. For gaming 5 stars because 144hz at 1440p is great if you have a capable rig that can give you a solid 144fps which I do. Has a VESA mount, don't know why some people star shoot because there is no VESA mount option. You are WRONG and BLIND! The VESA mounting holes are exactly where you attach the included base and LG is kind enough to have screws in the holes for a perfect fit if/if you decide to mount it! Freesync folks if you have Nvidia Gsync it works on this monitor and it works fine, just enable it in the Nvidia control panel and make sure you enable it using the monitor's OSD controls (joystick under the middle the aperture). The monitor is quite heavy, even without a stand you need a good monitor arm, I use WALI Premium and it holds it perfectly with the gas piston. Colors are ok, nothing special but I have to say LG has done a very good job on color/refresh with this monitor, normally high refresh panels have terrible color quality. Brightness. Damn this thing will melt your eyes in a dark room, I bought a Logtitech G560 speaker AND a small desk lamp that I stick an RGB lightbulb in to go behind the screen to light up the wall or my eyes are strained by the brightness . I paid a lot more than the current price which I spent about five hundred on. I have no regrets as the monitor is worth it and is VERY worth it now at the current price of under four hundred. $$.
