Stock replacement

This PCV valve looks like the stock one I had in my 2007 Town & Country. As other reviews have mentioned removing the old one was a pain. I did this without removing the wiper pan so it was very tight. The old PCV valve rotated freely unlike other reviews. That meant the rubber was torn inside but not sticking to the hub. I did all this with the engine warm. I'm not sure if that helped, but it worked for me. Some lessons learned: 1. I was able to remove the old PCV valve by inserting a bolt into the valve hole and squeezing it with pliers. I put a metal rod (from a removable screwdriver) on top of the motor to distribute the weight. I'm pretty sure this isn't the way to go, but it did for me. Then I used pliers, used a metal rod as a lever, pushed down and the valve came out.2. To remove the rubber that was in the grommet I used a small flathead screwdriver to pry the rubber away from the wall and my finger to pry it up and out of the hole. I have small hands and fingers so this may not be for everyone.3. Installing the new one didn't go so bad. I used the handle of a screwdriver to put some pressure on the metal part of the valve. Note: If you ever drop a bold print in the hole that the PCV valve fits in, just put some super glue on your index finger and tap one of them. side of the bolt for 20-30 seconds. It will come out right away and save you a lot of headache and money. Of course, it's better not to drop anything into the hole.
