Interesting at least

To say the installation was interesting would be an understatement. So here is a report from a man who has installed many lights in my home and other homes. The instructions show how to attach it to the ceiling with dowels. I don't know where you live but the ceiling box is the code and you should never install the light on a drywall ceiling. Confusing. Also, the wires should just hang in an empty open space? Say what?! Additionally, since most people have or should have a box to attach the mounting brackets to, there is a major problem in attaching the bracket to the box. The screws to attach the bracket to the box hinder the width required to attach the plate and attach the lantern. The screw heads touch which makes it not as flush with the box and mount, but for me it's as secure as it gets and it will stay in place. Here's what needs to change. The pre-drilled holes for the ceiling plate need to be closer to center to allow for a clean attachment of the bracket to the box... not nearly the same width. moron. Also for US customers, do not use anchors and always use an anchor box. Without them, this would be a major code violation, and it's not safe to have bare wires without a plastic or metal box. Last but not least. Some of the accent knobs and screws were completely loose, some were loose in the packaging and the screw heads showed signs of breakage. I also swapped the handles and screws so that the handle is visible from the outside. If you're good at problem solving, this setup shouldn't be too bad, but it's definitely not normal, and it's the weirdest alignment I've ever come across. seen on the mounting plate.
