I bought this product as an extension cable for use in my car in combination with a BMW proprietary cable (Lightning to USB and AUX cable to use my iPhone as an iPod in my to use car - this is 2014 without WiFi/BT for audio, phone only). It worked great at first! .about a week. Then I started having intermittent problems. Now it just doesn't work - it only works for loading and then intermittently. It looks like a solid construction and the connections are very positive. However, it is not very stable. No, I didn't bend the cable—as someone who works with microphones, fiber optics, and network switches, I know how tricky cables can be and how the wires inside will snap if you bend them into a tight circle. You didn't do that with this cable, but at some point it stopped working due to normal handling. I wouldn't buy this cable again if I didn't have to. Now I'm looking for an analog USB / Aux device with Bluetooth and a regular Lightning cable for charging.
