I really wanted a kitchen island but didn't want to pay $600 for marble right now since I have bigger projects to spend my money on. So I bought a $20 solid wood table from FB, applied three coats of white primer, and painted the faux marble top with sea sponge. I then used this resin as a top coat, I think I only used half the bottles so all in all I was able to make a beautiful island for about $250 including two assembled cabinets I bought at Lowes! The resin was easy to work with, I used a heat gun and didn't get any bubbles, just dust particles, but that's inevitable. Remember to wear a respirator (not a dust mask) and gloves when handling and heating resin, people don't realize how toxic it is. Mixing cups and spatulas are also useful. If so, replace it, the results are in the second and third photos
