excellent weather and collision protection

I've had this for about a year now, got it as a surprise gift and although I don't have an expensive camera or anything (my phone was $50) I love it. I have a "regular" (non-molle) version that attaches to a regular belt or backpack strap (in the first case you need to take out part of the belt and thread it through the backpack, you just need to undo the velcro and velcro) . Both methods of attachment seem very secure from what I've seen. The opening is a small folding mechanism that can also be operated with heavy work gloves. It takes some practice, but it works well. When I first got it I wanted to "play with my new toy" so I hung it on my belt. I went to the gas station and put in a check and change, just like that. New toy, what can I say. Within an hour we were under a tornado warning of sunny with chances of luck. I spent the next hour in gale force winds, torrential rain, and other "conditions," completely forgetting the bag clipped to my belt (obviously I had more serious concerns). Later, when the storm was over, I opened them. and the receipt was still intact, no water damage. I've since used it for more anticipated purposes, basically to keep my phone (yes, $50, it may be cheap, but it's still my phone) safe. factory floor where I work. We have heavy boxes, pallets, truck gates and more. Our forklifts receive collateral damage. Cell phones don't stand a chance on their own. I work with gloves and opening the mechanism is not a problem (putting work gloves in the pocket is a problem, for comparison they stick) and I often have to get my phone out to do my work. I can open this thing and take out my phone in seconds, which is very convenient. I didn't actually use the tether, although it's still there. The gift was originally intended as an outdoor gift and works there, but to be honest I tend to use it at work, partly because I spend a lot of time outside in places where there is no cell service, so I'll save that for later. . mainly at home. The phone is a Hwawei Prism 2 with a "durable" Case Logic case (only part of the phone, part of the strap is broken so I use that at work) if size matters. Case "small". The inner lining is soft enough to protect my phone, a year later it's still in "perfect" condition (I put it in my regular pants pockets when I'm not working, but it's still pretty much immaculate). I know a lot of people consider this an optional extra, but I can't comment on that. All I know is that it protects everything in it from inclement weather to industrial wear and tear.
