Review on πŸ”₯ Enhance and Preserve with BuzzyWaxx Original Blend - The Ultimate Seasoning for Cast Iron and Carbon Steel by Johnny Moger

Don't ruin the finish

I have always used Crisco to dress up my CI cookware and have had great success. I saw this material and read the reviews so I decided to give it a try. Wasted time and money for it. I don't know, maybe it works well as a new spice, but it goes horribly with an already WELL aged AI. I'm glad I only tried it on 2 of my CI pieces, my most used 10.25" lodge pan and my 9" pie pan. Following the instructions in the letter, I tried cooking the bacon in my main skillet, but it stuck. This has never happened, EVER. I also noticed a sticky film on the bottom of the pan when trying to get the bacon out. After removing the frosting from the pan a few times and getting rid of the stickiness, I reseasoned the crisco as usual and no more problems. I'm only giving 2 stars because it gives CI that nice black patina better than Crisco. It would be great if you just wanted to hang it on the wall and look at it, but don't try to cook with it. I might try using the rest of this junk like some others have suggested on chopping boards and carbon steel blades and knife handles, maybe they'll be ok.
