Review on ☕ Chemex Classic Series 3-Cup Glass Coffeemaker - Exclusive Packaging for Perfect Pour-Over Coffee by Andrew Carrao

Beautiful to look at, but difficult to use and clean.

Beautiful set. Classic modern design. But not very functional. Let's start with filters. I knew I was supposed to fold them when I ordered them, but I have to fold them small enough to only leave room for coffee grounds. I have to stand over the coffee maker and slowly pour in the water so it doesn't overflow. When I'm done, the coffee will be cold. Making just 2 cups of coffee is a chore. Chemex makes filters, but even those seem to stack. Cleaning: Again, great design, but the neck of the glass carafe is so small nothing gets in to wash away oils and coffee residue. Actually, all that remains is to put it in the dishwasher, but to do this you have to unclip the leather strip and remove it and the wooden ring. And put everything back together when it's clean. Special feature: With coffee in the carafe (hot coffee if you're lucky, but probably warm at best), the device is floor-heavy. The wooden ring in the middle just doesn't work as a handle, you really need to get at least a couple of fingers under the handle to be able to pour the coffee and when the coffee is hot it's awkward. So this coffee maker goes into the cupboard and will never be used again. If style isn't your most important consideration, I wouldn't recommend this coffee maker.
