Skims well and is fairly quiet. The drip tray is quite large and wide. I couldn't get it out from under the counter without knocking it over. I had to drain the Skimmat into another container. I know this is a subjective complaint and depends on your placement and size under your tank. Another annoying thing is that it squirts a lot. Salt mist was everywhere. You must cover it to avoid this problem. What was important to me was a great skimmer with a low overall height that met all the requirements.
