Review on Verbatim CD-R 700MB 52X DataLifePlus with Branded Surface - 50pk Spindle - 94523: High-Quality Blank CDs for Data Storage by Troy Hamilton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mitsubishi Chemicals has what you need for a PS1 backup

If you are after back download some data or back up your PS1, these are the CDs you need. Apparently not all Verbatim discs are created equal and I've learned that the hard way. When I was looking for a good medium to burn some PS1 backups after getting stuck with cheap Memorex CDs, I read that the Verbatim discs were of excellent quality. I bought a 50cc spindle here at Revain and the rims turned out to be unreliable bullshit. Why? Because apparently Verbatim allows several manufacturers to use their name. The worst of these culprits is called CMC Magnetics. The burning software I use (Imgburn) tells you which manufacturer your discs are from, so I can verify that the Verbatim discs I bought were made by CMC Magnetics, who also made crappy discs. I have already tried Memorex cd-rs. AVOID CMC MAGNETICS CD-Rs like the plague. None of the backups I wrote onto those discs worked. After a little research I found out that Verbatim AZO discs are made by MITsubishi Chemicals and are considered excellent. I can confirm that they are really great and work almost perfectly. They are actually made by Mitubishi Chemicals, as my writing software confirms. Default verbatim files created by CMC are moved to the Recycle Bin.
