The ingredients in this shampoo mostly pass the laugh test for not being harmful or dangerous, so that is a good sign. The shampoo does not any sort of weird, overpowering smell, and it lathers easily and cleans my rather fine hair (referring to thickness, not how great it looks, but . . . ).This combo of ingredients seems to work well, imparting a shine and softness that shampoos with sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES) do not have. And of course, not having exposure to SLES is vital for anyone concerned about his/her health and well-being.This 12 ounce bottle will last me close to a year, so the $18 cost is not a deal killer for me. The gray bottle does not look like anything else in the shower, so there is little chance of my grabbing the wrong bottle and turning my hair purple or applying conditioner before shampooing.All in all, a pleasant to use product that leave my hair looking shiny and feeling soft. I like it!
