Review on πŸ“ MAXUS Espresso Scale with Timer: Small and Handy Barista Scale for Perfect Coffee Brewing by Sara Hughes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Feels kind of cheap. doing a good job Probably won't last long.

I ordered this to use as an espresso scale and timer. Works well. responsive. There is no noticeable lag when weighing. The scale keeps up with my shot when I pull on it, making it very reliable in knowing when to stop my shots. No noise. I really appreciate that it doesn't beep or make any noise. The timer itself could be better. You click on the time to start the timer, click again to stop the time and when you click again the time starts over. You cannot pause and restart the timer. So if it's important, don't use this scale. Also, the timer stops after a few minutes, so don't pick it up if you need to count down more than 10 minutes. Bad platform for weighing. When I received the scale, the plate was crooked. I had to hope it didn't break so I could turn the plate to straighten it. The plate is made of plastic, unlike the metal plate on most other scales. Mine already has a lot of small scratches and scuffs, but I only weigh a shot glass and a plastic cup to catch coffee grounds. The scales are pretty much all plastic, so expect them to be cheap. These scales were good for the price, but obviously not built to last.
