Review on 🚲 Rear Mounted Child Bike Seat with Cushion, Backrest, Armrests, and Handrail - Together-life Bicycle Rear Seat Cushion Armrest Set Kid Child Carrier by David Skyline

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Poor quality design and components. The packaging was bad.

So of course the installation was easy. But we had to add a rubber plate to bolt the seat on, otherwise it would have badly scratched the bike's paintwork. We also attached it to the handlebars, which by the way were already touching the bike seat. Not enough room for big hands. It would be better if they added some rubber to their attachments and if the handles were adjustable somehow. I also had issues with the seat base, it's just a piece of thin plywood on the bottom and the seat itself has poor padding (there are large visible dents from receiving the item, the foam must have been crushed during shipping as it's straight was in plastic bag and without any other protection). They were stapled together so the seat didn't have to be reworked, all the strut wires were exposed, the faux leather seems to detach from those wires so easily. In 5 photos you can see everything and look at it. You basically just screwed the back to the thin plywood. Obviously there was no strength or special thought to the design. Looks good from a distance but I'm concerned for my child's safety if they ride with me. I want them to correct their design flaws. Metals are pretty strong, but everything else isn't. So many security threats. I will use it for at least 2 more weeks and see how it holds up.
