The cable is too short, maybe 8 inches, so you are VERY limited on where you can place the device. The URL "Liteonodd.com" is printed on the box - nowhere in the literature is there a contact phone number or email address for support. I have type "A" USB ports and I had to use BOTH (which means I had to have TWO USB ports) to get enough power to run the device. In fact, I received a message that the device would not work at full capacity. speed, unless I have a "high-speed USB host controller" installed (at an additional cost, of course). The device is very small and light and seems to break easily if not handled with care. is working. UPDATE: Bought two 3' USB extension cords, plugged them into the unit cords and all is well. Now I can't put the drive on top of the computer tower and I have my coffee mug back.
