This is a great peeler that I mainly use for potatoes and carrots. It's made of stainless steel and looks much prettier and more professional than the colored plastic ones. Being stainless steel it's a good weight, not overly heavy but feels more durable than comparable plastic cleaners. The blade is good and sharp; it glides easily over the vegetables and removes the skin. The "Y" holding the blades is quite deep and took me a while to get used to. I'm used to plastic scissors that have a smaller "U" shape, if that makes sense. I find the smaller ones easier to handle because again my hand is closer to the blade if that makes sense. I also notice who cares: the blade is very lightly serrated. I'm used to a vegetable peeler, which gives the veggies a smooth texture, but this one leaves little jagged marks. It doesn't matter to me, just thought I'd add it for anyone else who might be interested. Overall, this is a very slim, attractive peeler that feels good in the hand. It's sharp and works great, which is to be expected from a well-made peeler.
