Review on CleanTools 42149 The Absorber Synthetic Drying Chamois by Doug Ellingson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best Synthetic Suede, Period

I have been using these items for several years now and buy a new one about once a year. PVA is used as an absorber, so it must remain slightly moist, as it becomes very hard when it dries. Once you get used to it and how it works, it's great. There are many PVA drying towels that are cheaper, but believe me, this one is better in thickness and quality. I bought a cheap all-purpose towel from Wal-Mart and after a few days it started tearing. I use mine to dry pretty much anything you use a regular towel for. It doesn't feel as dry as a towel as it's slightly damp at first, but evaporation quickly does the rest. Its main advantage over a towel is that it works like a towel and like a sponge depending on how wet it is. It feels comfortable and cool, so it can be used as a cooling fabric in the summer heat. If it gets too wet, just wring it out. If it gets a little dirty, soak it in some soapy water and wring it out or throw it in the washing machine (just make sure you don't put it in the dryer, it comes out of the washing machine slightly damp, that is how it should be saved). Every few washes I recommend using bleach in the wash or soaking in bleach to keep it as good as new.

Cons
